This area will be given the designation of 33, and will have a few routes that would serve through here. This designation will not only include Ross Township, but West View as well. This will consolidate the areas into on designation, and make better use of the resources offered by ACT. The routes are as follows:
- 331N: Troy Hill Short
- 332N: Shadeland
- N331: Troy Hill
- N332: Perrysville
- N333: Bellevue
331N: Troy Hill Short
The 331N: Troy Hill Short will serve much like the 4: Troy Hill, but will not serve Downtown. The 331N: Troy Hill Short will operate as normally from Ross Garage to Cedar. Once arriving at Cedar, the 331N: Troy Hill Short will use Stockton Avenue to E. Commons before turning on E. Ohio Street where it will return to Troy Hill, Reserve, and Ross. For those that need to go to Downtown during non-rush hour service will be able to board a number of various routes to get to Downtown. Also, Cedar, and Stockton is close to Downtown, and for those that don’t mind walking, could walk to Downtown.
332N: Shadeland
The 332N: Shadeland will replace most of the 17: Shadeland, but will be redirected to no longer serving Downtown Pittsburgh as you might have guessed with the designation. Instead, the inbound terminus will be Allegheny Station on the Northside. Cash riders will wait for the Blue: Downtown, whereas fare card riders will likely still have their 3 hour pass to board any LRT to get into Downtown. This will be an inconvenience, but a minor one to reduce the number of primary routes.
N331: Troy Hill
The N331: Troy Hill will operate during rush hour, and will serve just as the current 4: Troy Hill will serve. Due to the 331N: Troy Hill Short stopping short of Downtown, this route will collect people in Downtown that would want to get back home without the need of riding and coordinating with 2 buses to get there. The service for N331: Troy Hill will be 7:00AM – 10:00AM, and 3:30PM – 6:30PM. During other times, the rider will have to board the 331N: Troy Hill Short and ride two routes. For those that live in Troy Hill, they can board the 3: Troy Incline, and board the N301: Aspinwall, or N311: Mt Royal.
N332: Perrysville
The N332: Perrysville will operate much like the current 8: Perrysville will, but will have some adjustments to the Downtown routing. Since this route will serve Ross Garage, one will be able to transfer using the N332: Perrysville to get to and from Downtown. The route will of course extend to West View Shopping Center without any issues.
N333: Bellevue
The N333: Bellevue will operate much the same way that the 13: Bellevue. There will be no major difference in operations, and the frequency will likely remain as well. There is not much else to say about this route since everything will remain the same.
