I am sure this would be an oversight with previous transit companies, but there is no North Busway. Unfortunately will the demand on the populations, and with the North Busway being best to serve McKnight Road, the only way for a true North Busway is an underground BRT lane that would support both buses, and LRTs. Unless there would be a way to offer a ramp to go from the underground North Busway to street traffic, there will be no way to have a 1N: North Busway – Oakland This will be because there is no LRT rails that connects with Oakland.
With that in mind, there will likely never be a North Busway as much as I would feel one will benefit the North Hills community, and do a small part in reducing street level buses. Since there are malls and shopping centers on both sides of McKnight Road, there might be a need for 2 North Busway routes to serve all of the locations.
